I am an educator, graphic designer, maker, and letterpress printer in southeast Michigan. With an undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a graduate degree in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore, I have worked as a web and print designer, writer, editor, and instructor since the early days of the internet. I’ve been full-time graphic design faculty at Washtenaw Community College since 2012.

In 2019, I bought a mixed-use building in downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan where I live with a Vandercook #4 proof press, a Golding Pearl #11 platen press, my two kids, and Anni Albers, a retired racing greyhound.

My small/single edition letterpress prints are available for purchase here (just send an email!), at Signal Return in Detroit, or at the occasional craft fair. I am currently not taking on a lot of freelance work or commissions but if you have something in mind, I’d be delighted to chat. My studio is open by appointment.
